Happy MONDAY! TGIM! QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Celebration is a kind of food we all need in our lives, and each individual brings a special recipe or offering, so that together we will make a great feast. It is richer and fuller when many work and then celebrate together.” ~ Corita Kent THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We just finished up another 12 week Fitbit class that I lead for the City of Austin. At the end of it, I encourage people to celebrate whatever they have accomplished. Being able to do some positive, whether it’s big or small, let’s celebrate it all. That’s where I found this quote for today. A lot of people get a lot of steps in every day. That’s great! Celebrate that. Some people don’t meet their daily step goals. At least they are trying. Let’s celebrate that! We should celebrate more things in life. Right? Do you have a joyful moment or a celebration to share? Let’s hear it. Reply and let me know. Here are some things I encourage people to celebrate: 1) Getting your 10,000 steps in more days than not. 2) Trying every day to get your 10,000 steps in. 3) Practicing a new fitness routine. 4) Rising in the morning to get your body moving. 5) Having a meditation practice. 6) Having a gratitude practice. 7) Waking up today.
