African Proverb

Happy MONDAY! TGIM! QUOTE OF THE DAY: “If you want to go fast, go alone.  If you want to go far, go together.” ~ African Proverb  THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: This past weekend I did a Spartan Super race with 5 other people.  If I wanted to go fast, I would have gone alone.  But races are way more fun when you do them with a group of people and you stick together as a team.  The Spartan Super race is 8 miles of trail running with about 25 obstacles that you have to go over to finish.  Some of the obstacles are easy like going over a wall or climbing up a cargo net.  Others were harder like some wet and slippery monkey bars.  It was a fun good time and I am glad that we were able to do it and finish together.  It rained off and on for most of the race and it was pretty humid.  We helped each other through some of the obstacles and that was really cool.  I felt like we bonded well and it was a meaningful experience.  I feel like having events like this in my life give my life more meaning.  And I am glad to have some friends willing to do the race with me.  AFFIRMATIONS OF THE DAY:  1) We empower each other toward greatness. 2) Our adventures are bringing us closer together. 3) We each have something to offer and share.
