Happy MONDAY! TGIM!
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“At the end of the day people won’t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.”
― Maya Angelou THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: This quote came to me this week when I was thinking about my friend Paul who completed 50 hours of Camp Gladiator. He went 50 times just like I did a couple of months ago.
The interesting thing about this idea and this quote is that you never know where a simple conversation will lead you. In this case, about 6 months ago I asked Paul if he wanted to try out Camp Gladiator because it was helping me get fit. In January he tried it, then joined, then now 6 months later is still doing it and has done it 50 times.
Personal trainers at Camp Gladiator have a natural way of encouraging you while at camp. Every camp I go to, a trainer will tell me I am doing a good job. Thus every time I go to camp, I feel encouraged and I feel good because I got in a good workout. And then at 50 workouts, you get a little celebration pat on the back!
So I say celebrate you and your accomplishments. Can you believe it is already about half way through the year? We are in June and that’s the 6 month of the year.
I joined Toastmasters this year and every week I get to step out of my comfort zone and speak. I also joined a committee at work that helps plan 2 department wide parties a year.
I am feeling accomplished. Are you? If not, what is holding you back?
AFFIRMATIONS OF THE DAY:
1) I celebrate each goal I accomplish with joy and gratitude. 2) I believe in my abilities. 3) I approve of who I am and that is enough
